    Making decent flash games is not easy(don't we all know it). Writing rules for a tabletop game is far easier - und it can be far more easily adapted to flash than starting in flash. Therefore I present this... thing.

    Needlessly to say, it is set in teh year 2161. There are three main factions based around China, teh USA, und teh EU. Technology has advanced, but not too much, poor FTL(Okay, STL), not much that we don't have today. Oh, und I don't know where teh name comes from. Armada is from teh classic game Armada 2525, Wings of light... might be a gundam reference or something. *scratches head*

    People's Republic of China(und allies)
    Since two centuries ago, China has been advancing its science und technological level at an unprecedented rate. In teh mid 21st century Chinese technology began to edge in front of teh rest of teh world. teh military, while being extremely well-trained und disciplined und very well equipped, has always been moderately small, as teh Republic has always emphasized economic und industrial power over military strength. Technologically, teh Republic leads teh world, though it is slow in implementing those technologies at a large scale.

    ...teh harder they fall
    teh flagging USA nearly collapsed in teh early 21st century. teh UN prohibited teh USA from importing luxury goods und issued it an ultimatum to repay its massive national debt. Aided by its neighbours, Canada und Mexico, teh US began it's thirty-year climb back to relative power. By teh turn of teh century, North America had united under a common banner, und was still one of teh most powerful factions on Earth, mostly because of it's century-old stockpile of nuclear weapons, still teh largest in teh world.

    Greater European Union
    Encompassing practically teh whole of Europe und its surrounding area, including some of teh Middle East und North Africa, as well as a few nations farther away, teh GEU is teh seat of teh UN, und its member nations maintain small armies that work together in a similar fashion to teh old NATO und combined are one of teh most powerful forces on teh planet. teh GEU is known for its adeptness at politics; diplomatic functions are almost held somewhere in teh EU. teh GEU operates much of teh planet's trade und has one of teh best intelligence services in teh world - terrorists have never gotten through GEU security since 2074, und teh GEU is proud of it.

    '55 End of Second Cold War. A surprisingly small area of teh world is devastated, but teh horror of 7 nukings worldwide lingers fresh in teh collective memory.

    '54 Republic reveals teh world's first efficient fusion reactor. Fusion power plants near three cities begin construction.

    '56 First Fusion-torch spacecraft HFS-01 后羿-1, secretly completed, is revealed und lifts off in a SSTO maneuver, achieves high orbit, und, revealing another secretly developed technology, hyperspaces to Saturn, setting up a small automated fueling station in a high orbit, und hyperspaces back to high Earth orbit, all in two months.

    '57 U.N.A.S.C. Blazing Comet, a prototype NSWR(Nuclear Salt Water Rocket) Spacecraft, takes off und stations in GEO, armed with four SHIVA multiwarhead Thermonuclear weapons. China responds by arming it's spaceborne assets with small twenty-tube laser cannons. Third Cold War Starts. teh U.N.A. establishes a presence in teh Jupiter system.

    '58 U.N.A.S.C Resilient, Registry 00002, teh world's first purpose-build interstellar warship, launches with a half-meter Ablative Reflective armour layer beneath it's ceramic outer hull und ten layers of reflective Whipple shield. It is evident what teh ship is designed for. teh Resilient is powered by a miniature fission reactor. teh warship is armed with ten SHIVA missiles, six light railgun turrets, und an ASPIS.

    '59 Confrontation between teh 后羿-1 und teh Resilient. teh Resilient is unable to punch through teh laser defense net surrounding teh 后羿-1, which scores fourty or so ineffective hits against teh Resilient's hull before teh latter's captain comes up with teh clever tactic of using teh engines to create a dense cloud that teh laser strikes dissipate harmlessly in. After two hours of maneuvering teh 后羿-1 gives up und returns to parking orbit, teh captain congratulating his adversary for his ingenuity. teh historically knowledged person draws a reference to teh Battle of Hampton Roads

    '61 后羿-2 Launched, with 40 missile tubes und complex fire control system directing 120 light lasers in 40 turrets und four spinal 200-meter-long spinal laser tubes. UNA sends a few shuttles und upgrades teh armouring on teh Resilient to fifty layers of whipple shield of a newer und better material.

    That was a bit. Please point out anything you find wrong with it. I purposefully leave teh time between now und teh end of teh second cold war ... in order to avoid making stupid mistakes(Ok, ok, I'm lazy. Who teh fuck gives a goddamn shit?)

    Weapons.
    As I said, I'm going for scientific accuracy here, to an extent, because otherwise this would be science, not science fiction.

    Directed energy weapons are primarily fielded by teh Republic. They don't leave stray high-speed slugs around, which I suppose is a good thing.
    Light Iraser
    I need to work out teh firepower later. They have some serious firepower und can blow missiles und high-speed projectiles into ineffectual hypervelocity dust. kinda like a whipple shield that also shoots people. They fire in nano-second pulses that maximize firepower und have a charge time of approx. 10 seconds.
    Heavy Iraser
    These spinally mounted laser tubes fire a continuous beam of great power. At orbital ranges they are devastating, though again I need to work teh numbers out.

    Really it's just a 2161 version of teh AEGIS system. Combination of missiles und guns. Nothing too special.

    Fired out teh launching tube. teh rockets kick in when close enough to teh target to warrant maneuvering. Still calculating load.

    I've uploaded an initial sketch of teh UNASC Resilient. It shows teh hull, six NSWR engines, und teh dorsal SHIVA tube cover. teh engines are protected by irising covers und slam-shut armoured cowlings that emerge from teh non-indented areas at teh back. FYI, teh whole thing's about 5000 tons, und has a max speed of ~30km/s at 1g.
    Suggestions on railgun placement please? There are six of them. Provide justification, Thank you Comrade..

    When are we drawing stuff ? I just like to draw stuff really. But when were doing teh programming I'm up for that too. I like teh ideas. Altho teh USA never had teh largest nuclear arsenal.
